PLL question: What's up with Melissa's wedding ring?

I dont get it.
Didnt Spencer sell the ring for $2000? Why did she expect to get it
back?
Didnt she use the $2000 to get Toby's truck? Why did the guy ask her
for the money back  how did she have that much left over?
